BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

We Endorsed Adeleke” — Eyewitnesses Reveal Tension at APC Strategy Meeting

 By Oriontimes Editorial Desk

A high-ranking leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, with significant influence at the federal level, has reportedly made a startling admission during a closed-door mobilisation meeting held in Osogbo.

According to two eyewitnesses who briefed selected journalists on Tuesday morning, the meeting was convened to rally support for the Osun APC governorship candidate ahead of the forthcoming election.

Mobilisation Meeting Turns Heated

The eyewitnesses revealed that the APC leader, accompanied by other prominent party figures in the state, addressed invited dignitaries and appealed for their support for the party’s candidate.

However, the meeting reportedly took a dramatic turn when one of the invited guests, speaking on behalf of his group, openly declared continued support for incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke.

“We had endorsed Adeleke. The man has done well for us in our areas,” the guest was quoted as saying.

“Do You Know How Much the FG Has Paid?”

Eyewitnesses said the APC leader became visibly agitated and interrupted the speaker.

“Do you know the amount of money the FG has paid to the state? Did they tell you of the huge money they are getting? During our time, we did not get that type of money,” the leader reportedly said.

But the guest allegedly stood his ground.

“We are not interested in how much money; we only saw the job well done by Adeleke and we embraced him,” he replied.

The Alleged “Bombshell” Comment

The most shocking moment of the meeting, according to eyewitness accounts, came when the APC leader reportedly made a controversial statement that stunned even members of his inner caucus.

“If you know what we have done to them. We are surprised that government is still surviving. If not that Deji has money, the Adeleke government would have collapsed by now,” the leader allegedly said.

The remark reportedly left the room in complete silence.

Guests Reaffirm Support for Adeleke

Breaking the silence, the guest reportedly reaffirmed his group’s position:

“We have tested several governments and for our town, Adeleke has done so well, so good for us.

“In the past, they will come and tell us our town is their second home. After 12 years, our town has nothing to show. Adeleke came and changed our story. So we apologise, our candidate is Adeleke.”

However, the guest reportedly clarified their stance on national politics, declaring support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the next presidential election.

“For presidential election, Ahmed Tinubu is our choice. We want to advise that you promote Mr President’s re-election. Kindly don’t get further involved in the state election. Adeleke for re-election is a pan-Osun agenda. This is not about political party, it is about our dear state.”

Meeting Ends Abruptly

Sources said the atmosphere remained tense after the exchange, and the meeting ended abruptly without further resolutions.

As of the time of filing this report, the APC leadership in Osun State has not issued any official statement regarding the alleged remarks.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
