BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Aiyedatiwa Earns Youth Endorsement as Akoko Forum Praises Kolawole, Raises Alarm Over Power Crisis

 By OrionTimes Political Desk

AKOKO, ONDO STATE — The Akoko Youth Forum (AYF) has expressed profound appreciation to the Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what it described as visionary and inclusive leadership, while also calling for urgent intervention in the area of electricity supply across Akoko communities.

In an open letter jointly signed by its President, Ojumu Joseph; General Secretary, Adeleye Temitope Samuel (Pastor Tee); and Public Relations Officer, Salaudeen Fatai, the group lauded the governor for his recent political decision, particularly the emergence of Babatunde Kolawole as Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State.

The Forum described Kolawole’s appointment as a reflection of the governor’s commitment to meritocracy, grassroots inclusion, and strategic leadership. According to the group, the new APC chairman’s track record and political experience are expected to foster unity within the party and reposition it for greater success across the state.

“The confidence reposed in Hon. Babatunde Kolawole is well placed. We believe his leadership will exceed expectations and strengthen the party structure for the benefit of our dear Sunshine State,” the statement read.

Reaffirming its support for the administration, the Forum pledged its commitment to the governor’s “New Ondo State” vision, noting that the youth body remains ready to partner with the government in advancing development across Akoko land and beyond.

However, amid the commendations, the group raised concern over the persistent challenge of unstable electricity supply in the region, describing it as a major setback for economic growth and community well-being.

The Forum noted that despite self-help efforts by residents to maintain transformers and power lines, many communities continue to experience frequent outages and infrastructure failures.

“As our Sunshine Father, we respectfully appeal for your urgent intervention to stabilize electricity in Akoko land. Reliable power is critical to boosting small businesses and improving the quality of life of our people,” the group stated.

The AYF expressed optimism that with the governor’s support, the energy challenges facing the region can be addressed, paving the way for sustainable development and economic revitalization.

The letter concluded with renewed appreciation to Governor Aiyedatiwa for his dedication to the growth of Ondo State, while expressing hope for a brighter and more prosperous future under his l

eadership.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
