BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Revenge Is Country’s Right and Duty,” Says Iran President After Killing of Supreme Leader

By Abioye Tosin Lawrence

Orion Times — March 2, 2026

Tehran / Global: The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has formally declared that pursuing retaliation after the killing of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is not only a legitimate right but a moral duty of the nation.

In a statement carried by Iranian state media on Sunday, President Pezeshkian described the assassination, attributed to joint military strikes by the United States and Israel as a “historic crime” that demands a firm and decisive response. He said the government and all patriotic Iranians will work to ensure justice and accountability.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran considers avenging the perpetrators and those who ordered this crime, both a duty and a legitimate right, and will devote all its strength to fulfilling this great responsibility,” Pezeshkian said.

An Escalation of Regional Tensions

The death of Ayatollah Khamenei, a central figure in Iran’s political and religious leadership for decades, has triggered a serious escalation in tensions across the Middle East.

In the hours following the attack:

Iranian military units, including the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, launched a series of retaliatory strikes targeting U.S. military bases in the Gulf region.

Tehran publicly vowed to use “force the world has never seen” against those it holds responsible, including Washington and Tel Aviv.

These actions have resulted in the temporary closure of airspace in several Gulf countries, disrupting international travel and raising fears of broader conflict.

Global Reactions and Diplomatic Strain

Governments around the world have reacted with concern. Several foreign ministries have urged restraint from all sides, warning that further escalation could destabilize the region and endanger global security.

Analysts say the situation presents a complex geopolitical challenge:

Regional allies and rivals are reassessing their positions amid rising uncertainty.

Global powers are weighing diplomatic, economic, and military risks as tensions threaten to widen.

Some experts suggest that Iran’s call for vengeance reflects both a domestic political imperative and a strategic move to assert strength in the face of external pressure.

What This Means Moving Forward

The coming days could shape the future of Middle Eastern security and influence international relations for years to come. Key questions now include:

Will diplomatic channels be able to contain the conflict?

How will allied nations respond to Iran’s vow of retaliation?

What impact will the instability have on global energy markets and regional alliances?

For now, the world watches as Iran stands firm on its stance that revenge, in this context,  is both a country’s right and its duty.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
