…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. My Office Is Open to All Complaints” — Amotekun Commander Omoyele ....Calls for Public Support in Fight Against Crime

In a renewed call for community-driven security, the Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, has assured residents that his office remains open to receive complaints, reports, and intelligence on criminal activities across the state.

Speaking during an appearance on an online TV current affairs programme in Osogbo on Monday, Omoyele emphasized the critical role of public cooperation in tackling insecurity.

He encouraged citizens to come forward with useful information about criminal elements operating within their communities, assuring that all identities would be treated with strict confidentiality.

The commander acknowledged the challenges faced by the corps last year but noted that these obstacles have strengthened the agency’s operational capacity and deepened its experience in handling security threats.

According to him, the Amotekun Corps has evolved through adversity and is now better equipped to respond effectively to crime.

Omoyele further revealed that the corps’ intelligence unit is actively working around the clock, covering every corner of the state. He added that operatives have been strategically stationed at entry and exit points to monitor movements and prevent infiltration by criminal elements.

Highlighting inter-agency cooperation, he disclosed that the Amotekun Corps maintains strong collaboration with other security agencies through regular monthly meetings. These engagements, he said, focus on intelligence sharing and coordinated strategies to ensure the safety of residents.

He urged the public not to shield individuals suspected of criminal activities but to promptly report them to the appropriate authorities, stressing that timely information can significantly aid swift intervention and crime prevention.

The statement reinforces the agency’s commitment to community engagement as a cornerstone of its security approach.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
