Senate President Godswill Akpabio has stirred fresh political debate after taking a swipe at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), declaring that he was unaware the opposition party still existed.
Akpabio made the remark while addressing supporters at a political gathering, where he appeared to respond to comments involving the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, a prominent member of the PDP.
"I didn't know that there was still PDP. Wike, stop confusing us. If a party has died, allow it to die," Akpabio said, drawing cheers from the audience.
