The All Progressives Congress (APC) Ijesa North Federal Constituency Campaign Council has officially unveiled the Obokun Local Government Campaign Council Committees as part of preparations for the August 15, 2026 Osun State governorship election.
The Director General of the APC Ijesa North Federal Constituency Campaign Council, Prof. Olasiji Olamiju, announced the composition of the committees during a strategic meeting with party leaders and stakeholders, describing the move as a critical step towards strengthening the party's grassroots structure ahead of the governorship poll.
According to Prof. Olamiju, the constitution of the committees aligns with the directive of the Osun State APC Governorship Campaign Council and reflects the party's determination to secure victory for its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO).
He explained that the committees have been tasked with coordinating campaign activities, mobilising party supporters, and driving voter engagement across the ten wards in Obokun Local Government Area to ensure a successful outing for the APC on election day.
Addressing the newly appointed committee members, the campaign director urged them to remain united and place the collective interest of the party above personal ambitions. He also called for intensified grassroots mobilisation, voter sensitisation, and effective dissemination of the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda alongside AMBO's vision for Osun State.
Prof. Olamiju further charged members to demonstrate discipline, commitment, and diligence in executing their responsibilities, stressing that Obokun LGA must set the pace for the APC in Ijesa North.
«"This is not business as usual. We must go to every house, every street, and every unit with the message of Renewed Hope. The committees must be active, visible, and result-oriented," he said.»
The APC campaign director expressed appreciation to the Osun State APC leadership, the Director General of the Osun APC Governorship Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke, and other party stakeholders for their support in constituting the committees.
He also commended party faithful across Obokun for their patience, loyalty, and unwavering commitment, assuring them that the campaign council would operate an inclusive and responsive structure capable of delivering victory for the party.
The campaign council disclosed that the full list of committee members has been forwarded to the State Campaign Council and will be circulated to all ward executives for immediate implementation as campaign activities intensify across Obokun Local Government Area.
