Adeyeye Hails Adeleke’s Victory, Urges Tinubu to Deliver More Federal Projects to Osun

 

Says Election Victory Reflects People’s Confidence, Calls for Unity and Development

The Chairman of the Odo-Otin Parapo Initiative, Comrade Saheed Adeyeye, has congratulated the Governor-elect of Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the recently concluded governorship election, describing the outcome as a clear expression of the confidence reposed in him by the people of the state.

In a statement made available to journalists, Adeyeye said Adeleke’s re-election demonstrates the trust and belief that the people of Osun have in his leadership and ability to continue delivering democratic dividends.

According to him, the renewed mandate should serve as a call to greater service, inclusiveness and commitment to the welfare of the people.

“Your resounding victory is a testament to the confidence reposed in you by the people of Osun State. We believe in your capacity to continue providing good governance, promote unity and drive sustainable development across the state,” Adeyeye stated.

The community leader urged the governor-elect to prioritize critical sectors including infrastructure development, education, healthcare delivery, youth empowerment, agriculture, employment generation and workers’ welfare.

He further appealed to Adeleke to embrace all political interests in the state and extend a hand of fellowship to opponents in the interest of peace and progress.

“The election is over. This is the time to bring all stakeholders together and focus on building a stronger and more prosperous Osun State,” he added.

Adeyeye Appeals to Tinubu for Increased Federal Presence in Osun

Meanwhile, Adeyeye has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to intensify federal government intervention in Osun State through the provision of more developmental projects and strategic investments.

He emphasized that the outcome of the Osun governorship election should not be interpreted as a determinant of the 2027 general elections, noting that governance and visible development remain the true measures by which citizens assess political leadership.

Addressing the President, Adeyeye appealed for greater engagement with the people of Osun and increased federal attention to the state’s developmental needs.

“Mr. President, you are from Osun State. The people desire dialogue, inclusion and tangible projects that will positively impact their daily lives. They want to see visible development that can be felt across communities,” he said.

He urged the Federal Government to prioritize road infrastructure, stable electricity, quality education, healthcare services, agricultural development, youth employment and industrial growth.

According to him, citizens are increasingly interested in practical results rather than political rhetoric, stressing that investments capable of creating jobs and improving living standards would further strengthen public confidence in government.

Adeyeye therefore called on President Tinubu to deepen collaboration with stakeholders in Osun State and ensure that federal projects are fairly distributed across the state.

“Mr. President, Osun people have high expectations because you are one of our own. Increased federal investment and visible development will reinforce the confidence of our people in your administration,” he stated.

He concluded by urging leaders at all levels to place the welfare of citizens above political considerations, emphasizing that development, dialogue and good governance remain the foundation of sustainable progress.
