OSOGBO — Governor Ademola Adeleke has secured a second term as Governor of Osun State, emerging victorious in the 2026 governorship election after winning 19 of the state’s 30 Local Government Areas.
Adeleke, candidate of the Accord Party, defeated his closest challenger, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Bola Oyebamiji, who won 11 LGAs.
The results announced during the ongoing collation in Osogbo showed Adeleke polling 511,067 votes, against Oyebamiji’s 444,815 votes, giving the incumbent a margin of 66,252 votes.
The victory, following the results announced by INEC, means Adeleke is set to continue as Osun State Governor until 2030.
