Former SSG Kazeem Ademola Commends Peaceful Voting in Isale Oba

Former Secretary to the Osun State Government, Prince Kazeem Ademola, has commended the peaceful conduct of the ongoing Osun State governorship election in Isale Oba, Aiyedire Local Government Area.

Ademola, who addressed journalists after observing the voting process at Isale Oba Ward, Polling Units 1, 2, 3 and 4, described the exercise as peaceful and orderly, particularly noting the strong participation of women.

“The exercise is very peaceful. This is Isale Oba Ward, Polling Units 1, 2, 3 and 4, in Aiyedire Local Government. Mostly, especially the women, the voting is going on peacefully,” he said.

The former SSG also commended the presence of security personnel, saying their deployment had helped maintain orderliness and ensure a conducive environment for voters.

He, however, acknowledged that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) experienced some initial delays, but noted that the system had improved and was functioning better as voting progressed.

“The BVAS is a bit slow, but it has picked up,” Ademola stated.

He further observed that voters were showing keen interest in choosing their preferred candidates, describing the electorate as focused on exercising their franchise.

“We realised that people are interested in whom they want to vote for. The INEC officials are in charge,” he added.

Ademola's remarks come as voting continues across polling units in Aiyedire and other parts of Osun State, with stakeholders urging voters to maintain the peaceful atmosphere until the conclusion of the exercise.
