OSOGBO — September 21, 2026: Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has felicitated with the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, on her 66th birthday, describing her as an “inclusive nation builder” and a symbol of dedicated public service.
In a congratulatory message issued on Monday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, Governor Adeleke commended Senator Tinubu for what he described as her longstanding contributions to nation building, inclusive governance, women empowerment and youth development.
Adeleke also recalled Senator Tinubu’s years in the Senate, where he said she played prominent roles in legislative efforts aimed at expanding opportunities for women and young Nigerians.
The governor further described the First Lady as a unifying figure who, in his words, has continued to galvanise interests across political divides in pursuit of Nigeria’s development.
“As the First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Tinubu has proven to be the mother of all, galvanising interests irrespective of the political divide towards the ultimate purpose of moving Nigeria forward,” Adeleke said.
The Osun governor also recalled his period in the Senate and the relationship he shared with Senator Tinubu during his time in the National Assembly.
According to Adeleke, the former senator’s public service record reflects a commitment to addressing societal challenges through legislation and creating pathways for national development.
He said her current role as First Lady had further provided an avenue for her to contribute to national development and support the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“As she turns 66 today, I honour her life of incredible service and contributions, and more importantly, praise her for sharing in the burden of serving Nigerians with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and charting the course for Nigeria that will serve all,” the governor stated.
Governor Adeleke prayed for the First Lady to be granted many more years in good health and sound mind, while wishing her continued strength as she supports the President in his pursuit of national development.
