Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has described former Deputy Governor and former Senator, Otunba Christopher Iyiola Ajani Omisore, as a great icon of Osun State as he celebrates his 69th birthday.
Governor Adeleke, in a congratulatory message to the Ile-Ife-born elder, acknowledged Omisore’s contributions to the development of Osun State through his professional career, public service and political engagements.
The governor also celebrated Omisore’s traditional standing, noting his various chieftaincy titles, including Apesin Oodua of the Source, High Chief Lisa of Osogbo, Basorun of Ijesa Land and Otunba of Ipetumodu, among others.
“Today, I celebrate Otunba Omisore as a brother and a distinguished son of Osun. I wish him many more years of meaningful impact,” Governor Adeleke said.
He described the celebrant’s journey through engineering, public service, politics and traditional leadership as one marked by courage, wisdom and commitment to the advancement of the people.
“Through every stage of his remarkable journey, whether as an Engineer, Deputy Governor, Senator, traditional leader, or community builder, he has consistently demonstrated uncommon courage, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to the progress of our people.”
Governor Adeleke further congratulated Omisore on the milestone, extending his goodwill on behalf of the Osun State Government and residents.
“On behalf of the Government and the good people of Osun State, I congratulate Otunba Omisore on this joyous occasion and pray that Almighty God grants him fulfillment as he continues to inspire and serve humanity.”
The governor also prayed for continued divine protection, good health and blessings for the celebrant and his family.
