The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially released the final list of candidates for Nigeria's 2027 Presidential Election, confirming 18 presidential tickets that will contest for the nation's highest office.
The list features candidates from major political parties as well as emerging platforms, setting the stage for what is expected to be one of the most closely watched elections in Nigeria's democratic history.
Among the notable candidates are President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Gregory Obi of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and Adewole Ebenezer Adebayo of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Other contenders include candidates from the Action Alliance (AA), African Democratic Party (ADP), Action People's Party (APP), African Action Congress (AAC), Allied People's Movement (APM), Boot Party (BP), Democratic Liberation Alliance (DLA), Labour Party (LP), National Rescue Movement (NRM), People's Democratic Party (PDP), Peoples Redemption Party (PRP), Young Progressives Party (YPP), and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP).
