Amotekun Arrests Man For Possession of Illegal Firearms in Osun

The Operatives of Osun Amotekun Corps have arrested a young man, Oyelade Lukman, 27 years for having illegal firearms in his possession in Ajijola Anabi Area, Ede, Osun State. He was appr ehended after a complaint was lodged against him by the residents of the area and the operatives of Amotekun swung into action and arrested him with firearms. The firearms found in his possession are Two long barrels guns, One locally Iron Made Revolver 7 rounds barrels gun cut to size, 1 locally Revolver, 4 rounds barrel gun cut to size, and 1 locally iron-made double barrel gun cut to size. Pound hits highest level

  The pound has hit its highest level since April last year as the Bank of England looks poised to raise interest rates higher than the US Federal Reserve and further past the European Central Bank. Sterling has gained more than 2pc since Monday, the biggest weekly increase since early December, and is the best performing currency among major economies this year. It comes as the Federal Reserve paused its series of interest rate rises for the first time in 15 months on Wednesday at a range of 5pc to 5.25pc. The ECB raised its rates to 3.5pc - the highest level since 2001 - on Thursday and President Christine Lagarde said a rise in July was also “very likely”. However, she gave no guidance beyond that, which has helped increase confidence that the pound will become stronger as the Bank of England battles inflation. Oil Theft: Don't Cast Down The Military, Olowu Warns Asari Dokubo

  Olowu of Kuta, HRH Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, has warned former Niger Delta agitator,Mujahid Asari Dokubo not to dispirit the military with uncensored statement. Olowu in a statement issued by his media office said any attempt to Ridicule Nigerian Military because of few bad elements like any other institutions will be counter productive.
