OOPA Seeks Stronger Collaboration With INEC Ahead Of Osun 2026 Guber Election

  As the August 15 Osun governorship election draws near the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola has assured that Commission would offer full cooperation to media practitioners. Mrs Babalola also assured that the August 15 governorship election in the state will be credible, free, inclusive and transparent. Germany promised more help for Ukraine


Germany would step up support for ukraine by sending more military equipment and more funds for the domestic production of weapons, including long-range ones. ,  
Chancellor Friedrich Merz declared.


The announcement came during a visit by Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to Berlin.


The German Defense Ministry said the aid would include cooperation on weapons construction, air-defense systems and the financing of satellite communications. Its total value was put at roughly 5 billion euros.


Zelensky, who has traveled the world for years in search of arms for his country, said this week that Ukraine now needed about $30 billion in annual financing to fund its domestic production at full capacity.

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
