How Sunday Bisi Riveted Plot to Replace Fadahunsi with Onigbogi at Senate

The recent outburst by Sunday Bisi, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Osun State, attempting to diminish the towering legacy of Hon. Wole Oke, is not only laughable but reeks of selective amnesia and raw political bitterness.

For the record, and for the benefit of the good people of Ijesa North Federal Constituency, let us remind Mr. Bisi of the political hand he already played.


It was Sunday Bisi who riveted the internal party plot to displace Senator Francis Fadahunsi, installing his protégé, Hon. Gbenga Onigbogi, as a preferred Senate candidate. It was Bisi who, under the guise of party coordination, stripped a ranking legislator from Ijesa North of a well-earned Principal Office seat in the Osun State House of Assembly, only to award it to someone from his own political enclave.




These are not allegations. These are the facts.

What moral ground does Sunday Bisi stand on to now question Hon. Wole Oke’s contributions to Ijesaland? While Bisi lounges in beer parlours and engineers internal sabotage, Hon. Wole Oke is building. While Esa Oke sees actual road construction, while new school buildings rise at NURD, Bisi’s domain remains underdeveloped, forgotten, and neglected, a reflection of his misplaced priorities.


This office will not dignify every street-corner rant or pressroom tantrum. But when a man with no record of delivery begins to throw stones at a leader whose works are visible across Ijesa North, a response is necessary.


Hon. Wole Oke is not in a contest of noise. He is in a covenant of service with the people. For over two decades, he has consistently brought federal presence, human capital development, and grassroots empowerment to Ijesa North. His mandate has never depended on political godfathers or manipulative power blocs. It is the people who send him, and it is the people he continues to serve.

Let Sunday Bisi be reminded: you cannot erase relevance by propaganda. You cannot discredit service with schemes. And you cannot build your own image by trying to break down another man’s legacy.


Ijesa North deserves truth, not theatre. And this office stands ready to defend the truth with facts, with history, and with the voice of the people.
