Statement from the Constituency Office of Hon. Wole Oke, In response to Sunday Bisi’s recent attempt to downplay the performance and influence of Hon. Wole Oke, a seasoned lawmaker with decades of credible representation across Ijesa North and Osun, we consider it necessary to set the record straight.


Let Sunday Bisi take a trip to Esa-Oke. He’ll find roads under construction, roads that were once impassable. Let him walk through NURD and see the new school buildings rising from the ground. These are tangible results of Hon. Wole Oke’s enduring commitment to his constituency.


The question is: what has Sunday Bisi done for Ilesa East or Ijesa South, where he hails from, besides making political noise between beer parlours?


It is now becoming clear to the people: Sunday Bisi’s desperate attacks stem not from concern for the masses, but from an unhealthy obsession with the mineral resources of Esa-Oke and the larger Ijesa North Federal Constituency. He seeks control, not service.


As for Hon. Wole Oke’s political realignment with the All Progressives Congress (APC), it was a move made in good faith, one born out of repeated betrayal and irreconcilable differences with Governor Ademola Adeleke, despite Oke’s pivotal role in securing his electoral victory.


Ironically, the same party whose ceiling is leaking still tries to pin the blame on the man who left after holding it up for years. Yet, since his departure, the cracks have only widened. Many party chieftains and loyal members have joined Wole Oke in solidarity, because they know his worth and follow his leadership.


Let it be clear: no failure walks out of a party and gains momentum. Only a man with political capital, grassroots connection, and a legacy of service can pull that off. Hon. Wole Oke remains the man of the people, yesterday, today, and in the times to come.
