The Osun Online Publishers Association (OOPA) has officially announced the 2025 edition of the Osun Digital Media Week, scheduled to hold on December 4, 2025, at the Ben Bar Event Hall, beside Regina Suite, Malam Tope Area, Ring Road, Osogbo.
In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Planning Committee, Mr. Adesoji Omosebi, the three-day event will feature a blend of Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives, professional refresher courses, and a public lecture themed:
According to the committee, the programme aims to deepen national conversations on the critical intersection of digital technology, artificial intelligence, and electoral integrity—particularly as Nigeria continues to strengthen its democratic processes.
The Guest Speaker, Dr. Mutiu Agboke, the Osun State Resident Electoral Commissioner, is expected to deliver an insightful presentation on how emerging technologies can reinforce Nigeria’s electoral system, enhance media professionalism, and drive broader digital innovation.
The Digital Media Week will also celebrate the contributions of online publishers and digital media practitioners across Osun State, acknowledging their role in promoting credible journalism, digital transparency, and responsible information dissemination.
His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Hameed Oyelude Makama, Tegbosun III, the Olowu of Kuta (CON), will serve as the Father of the Day, while Mrs. Funmi Abokede, General Manager, Osun CSDA, will grace the event as the Mother of the Day. Their distinguished presence underscores the importance of the programme to the state’s digital and civic landscape.
