Tinubu Vows Justice, Assures Plateau Attack Victims: “This Experience Will Not Repeat Itself”

 


President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended heartfelt condolences to families affected by the recent deadly attack in Angwan Rukuba, located in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State, assuring them that such a tragic incident will not occur again.

The attack, reportedly carried out by suspected bandits on Sunday evening, targeted a popular bar in the community, leaving several people dead and many others injured. The incident has once again raised concerns over security challenges in parts of the country.

Speaking during his visit to Jos on Thursday, President Tinubu sympathized deeply with grieving families, acknowledging the magnitude of their loss.

“There is nothing I can give you, whether money in billions, but console you and promise you that this experience will not repeat itself,” the president stated.

He emphasized that no form of compensation can truly replace the lives lost, but reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to strengthening security and preventing a recurrence of such violence.

The president’s visit underscores the federal government’s concern over the incident and signals renewed urgency in addressing insecurity in Plateau and other affected regions across Nigeria.

Authorities are expected to intensify investigations into the attack while security agencies work to restore calm and confidence within the community.
