2027: Debates Emerge Over Hon. Seyi Sowunmi’s Re-Election Prospects

 

As political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections gradually gather momentum, conversations around representation, accountability, and constituency development have begun shaping public discourse across various constituencies, including Ojo Federal Constituency in Lagos State.

At the center of recent debates is Hon. Oluwaseyi Ayopo Sowunmi, popularly known as Seyi Sowunmi, who was elected into the House of Representatives in 2023 under the platform of the Labour Party (LP). Reports indicate that the lawmaker has since moved politically across parties, recently aligning with the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

However, some political stakeholders and constituents have continued to express mixed reactions regarding his stewardship and political trajectory.
