 Former presidential aspirant, Chief CBN Onwuasoanya Ezendigbo, has vowed to tackle insecurity head-on if given the opportunity to lead Nigeria, declaring that criminal activities such as kidnapping and banditry can be drastically reduced within 72 hours through decisive leadership and adequate security measures.


Speaking on the state of the nation, Ezendigbo condemned the growing wave of kidnappings across the country, describing the abduction of children as an attack on Nigeria's future.


"When you kidnap children, you are destroying the future engineer, future lawyer, future doctor and future technology experts that will build this nation," he said.


The political leader maintained that insecurity persists because of weak structures and inadequate support for security agencies.


"If I am in government, I will crush criminal elements. Insecurity is easy to stop. I can stop it within 72 hours. I cannot come to your place to steal, and you cannot come to my place to steal. The government must be firm and decisive," he stated.


Ezendigbo further promised to equip all security agencies with modern tools and technology while advocating for the establishment of state police to strengthen grassroots security architecture.



According to him, law enforcement agencies must be empowered to effectively protect lives and property, stressing that criminal acts such as rape and kidnapping reflect a complete breakdown of human values.


"Can any reasonable person rape a victim he kidnapped? Those engaging in such acts are not behaving like human beings," he lamented.


The former presidential hopeful said restoring security would create a conducive environment for economic growth, industrial development and national prosperity.


He urged Nigerians to support leaders committed to restructuring the nation's security framework and restoring public confidence in government institutions.
