“Don’t Give Up on Your Dreams,” Monarch Charges Nigerian Youths
The Olowu of Owu-Kuta Kingdom, Oba (Dr.) Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON), has paid a royal visit to Radio Oroki, Osogbo, commending the management and staff of the station for their commitment to promoting the identity, culture and values of Osogbo, Osun State and the Yoruba race.
The monarch was warmly received by the Proprietor of Radio Oroki, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, alongside members of staff during the visit on Saturday.
Speaking live on the station, Oba Oyelude expressed delight at the growth and development of Radio Oroki, recalling how Ajelogbon had involved him in the project from its early stages.
The Olowu said he had followed the journey of the station and witnessed the determination and perseverance with which Ajelogbon pursued his vision of establishing a media platform carrying the name and identity of Osogbo.
According to the monarch, the growth of Radio Oroki demonstrates what can be achieved when an individual remains committed to a dream despite challenges.
Oba Oyelude also expressed happiness with the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun Laroye II, noting that it was encouraging to see a son of Osogbo contributing meaningfully to the development and positive representation of the city.
Addressing Nigerian youths, the monarch urged them to remain steadfast in pursuing their dreams and aspirations, stressing that perseverance remains essential to achieving meaningful success.
He encouraged young people not to give up in the face of difficulties, noting that today's struggles can eventually give way to greater achievements when individuals remain committed to their goals.
In further demonstration of his support for the growth of Radio Oroki, the Olowu of Kuta donated ₦1 million to the station.
The monarch also offered prayers for the continued success of Radio Oroki, its proprietor, Mukhtar Ajelogbon, and the entire workforce.
Responding, Ajelogbon expressed profound appreciation to Oba Adekunle Oyelude Makama (CON) for the royal visit, words of encouragement and generous donation.
He assured the monarch that Radio Oroki would remain committed to excellence and continue to positively project Osogbo, Osun State and Yoruba values.
Ajelogbon also reaffirmed the station's commitment to informing and engaging its audience while preserving and promoting the identity, traditions and aspirations of the people.
