CON Awards: Osun APC's Absent Part, A Special Kudos To Gov. Adeleke - Abioye Tosin Lawrence

I want to give a special laurels to Governor Ademola Adeleke, for his matured mind to have issued congratulatory message in recognition of the awards given to his predecessors, Aregbesola and Oyetola as Commander of Order of Niger (CON), as announced by the immediate past president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari.

In a statement released Governor Ademola Adeleke's spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, read; "The Executive Governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has congratulated former Governors of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, David Adeleke (Davido) and other indigenes of Osun who bagged different national honours awards as conferred by President Muhammadu Buhari.

The Governor noted that the award is a recognition of their noble and immense contributions to the growth and development of Osun state and Nigeria in general.

The Governor further noted that they have all distinguished themselves in different ways and areas to have been recognized by the President.

Governor Adeleke added that all the awardees are worthy ambassadors of the state and such Osun is proud of them all.

"I sincerely congratulate all the Indigenes of Osun who bagged different national awards.

However, it could be noted that  Gov. Ademola was called different sort of names by the followers of these ex-governors during campaigns  and electioneering process, the trend which worsen the camp of APC that couldn't caution themselves against party leaders whilst some members are usually desirous of using vapid comments on social media to castigate Governor Aregbesola  in a fuelled fued that hosted the immediate past governor of Osun, Oyetola from office, they initiated fight to play game of loyalty for appointments.

"There was a time that the outspoken Chief Press Sec to Oyetola, Mr. Ismail Omipidan, was hosted in an event, the question I asked him was not in tandem with the topic we were discussing that day at "BenBar Foundation, "in a programme tagged; "Digging Into Politics and Governance" but I know what would cause the progressives's downfall is "SYCOPHANCY" and i asked why was it that the average progressives members are too sycophantic, I forsaw their problems, but today they're not willing to grow and the party may not elect the future governor in the next 7years.

APC members are wrong, if those loyal to Governor Oyetola only focusing on federal appointments, the party may not near the total vote it got in the previous elections.

As John Bolton, Ron Desantis, Mike Pence, Tim Scott, Nikki Haley are prepping to battle Donald Trump in the 2024 GOP Primary, despite the upsurge legal cases surrounding TRUMP, such as classified documents, defamation and battery litigation against E. Jean Carroll,  the republicans eyeing presidential ticket does not see it as loopholes  to disgrace the former president, otherwise Kelvin McCarthy might not have had

the majority of vote to become the House Speaker, despite TRUMP lost power to BIDEN in an historic election which pummelled into January 6 insurrection.

Governor Ademola Adeleke is playing card of forgiveness just as Tinubu did to conquered, even as heaping of praises to someone who holds the mantle of power has now become political warfare, people need to realised that a house built on solid rock can only stand.

The progressives doesn't fought over who have the capacity to deliver vote, they thought building fresh structure would secure more popularity for the party and lead them to gubernatorial victory, but the structure only rigid at state level,  fragile glass at the grassroots , owing to the fact that the movers of the structure at state level are closer to power which was the parameter for most appointments, an embarrassing gaffe by the so called appointees who added to loss of political weigh  of fewer unpopular cabinet members. As evidence of vote pulled in previous elections exposed chicken butt if the cause of failures is statistically evaluated.

BREAKING: PDP Bleeds in Oriade: Commissioner Loses 14 Party Leaders to Wole Oke in Home Ward

In a significant political shift, 14 grassroots leaders, including prominent women and youth coordinators from Ward 11, covering Ijeda and Iloko in Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State, have resigned from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and pledged allegiance to Hon. Wole Oke’s growing political camp in the All Progressives Congress (APC). The mass resignation, formalized in a jointly signed letter, marks a deepening crack within the PDP structure in Oriade, as key mobilizers abandon the party over what they describe as years of marginalization, poor internal democracy, and a lack of direction. Their defection is also seen as a major boost to Wole Oke’s political momentum within the APC, following his recent and controversial departure from the PDP. “We are grateful for the opportunities and experiences we had as PDP members,” the group stated, “but the party no longer reflects our values or aspirations. We believe in Hon. Wole Oke’s leadership and vision, and we are proud to...

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...

The Founder of the Better Nigeria For Better People, Chief. CBN Onwuasoanya Ezendigbo, has lambasted the former Governor of Anambra State and the Presidential candidate in the last general elections under the Labour Party, Peter Obi, for facilitating efforts towards Nnamdi Kanu's release from detention. Ezendigbo, in a statement released on Thursday said that, Nnamdi Kanu lack power to stop insecurity in Southeast Nigeria. According to the former Presidential Aspirant, "Let's have a road map for a 2-month cease-fire agreement to demonstrate that to release the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) would stop insecurity. He's just a political football fan for politicians, he said." "I am challenging both the federal government and Southeast politicians with $10M (Ten Million Dollars), they should tell Nnamdi Kanu if there will be no sit-at-home, no kidnapping in the region, that will give guarantee that he has control over insecurity in the southea...
