I thought perhaps the sacrifices of those who fought for democracy were enough testimony. Perhaps they are influenced by what the German sociologist Robert Michels described as the "Iron Law of Oligarchy" ,the tendency for power to concentrate in the hands of a small elite. Concerns Grow As President Biden Told To End His Campaign





No fewer than four senior House Democrats told colleagues on a private call yesterday that it was time for President Biden to call off his campaign, reflecting mounting panic among top Democrats about the viability of his candidacy, according to people who were present for the session, NYT reports.

A growing number of Democrats from across the party’s ideological spectrum are calling for Biden to drop out of the race, amid questions about his age, mental acuity and fitness for office. Some donors have grown skittish, and insiders worry that the Biden campaign’s strategy making the 2024 contest a referendum on Donald Trump has been sidetracked by the president’s poor debate performance.

Pesident Biden has defiantly swatted away suggestions that he leave the race, and he spent yesterday in Philadelphia, seeking to reassure voters who helped him win in 2020 that he is still capable of overcoming Donald Trump.

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

  The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident.
