One Cannot Expect A Better Nation While Embodying Negative Traits - Abioye Tosin Lawrence

It is evident that any leader assuming authority in Nigeria must confront individuals who receive direct directives from malevolent forces, perceiving them both physically and spiritually to execute nefarious agendas while attributing blame to the system. 

It is imperative to extend apologies to the numerous patriotic leaders who diligently strive in their respective roles to foster a better Nigeria, while those intent on tarnishing the nation's reputation persist in their endeavors. 

Through extensive investigation, I have discerned that being a Nigerian abroad entails significant burdens, as many unpatriotic individuals continue to undermine the country through deceitful actions, while others are preoccupied with damaging the nation's image.

However, some persons who have gone out of the country are involved in many types of activities, and if caution is not used, innocent people will face the consequences of doing business with them. 

It got to the point where I started asking inquiries like "Which house are these people coming from?" Who are their mentors and spiritual leaders? I was a victim because I trusted others too much, until I resolved to be myself and forget about who spoke my language and who shares our ethnicity. 

I related my experience with fellows about our image outside, but they find it difficult to trust me. Every checkpoint you must endure comprehensive checks, and at one of the immigration offices here in Africa, I burst into tears while hearing unfavorable words about Nigerians, the officers resorted to pleading me, claiming that evil Nigerians are preventing innocent people from gaining opportunities. 

Some regions regard us as ritualists or scammers, however some Nigerian elites argue that this is due to population. But are we bigger than China, Russia, and the United States? When we blame leaders, are we holding them accountable for the atrocities we did on another's land? I simply wish everyone understood that Nigeria has more than 200 million people. Each person represents a figure. 

Meanwhile, if a figure represents red and transforms itself into a green white green flag, the emblem will stick, indicating betrayal. 

One day, I was chatting with a foreigner after some African brothers in the United States were deported and handcuffed in both their hands and legs. I said, I think Trump is helping Africa. But, what if all Africans in diaspora returns back home? Everyone would be serious about who leads them, they will do the right thing, they will take movement for better Africa serious, inasmuch they have no place to run, they won't destroy their home and run to Europe or America. 

When you meet this, he would say 'this is African system you know" but my question is that what system are we proud of when we know it'll be difficult and slow progress from one generation to countless generations. 

We messed up to the extent of making anticlockwise jibe about our continent by saying (African Time) and we have not seen reasons why such must be removed. 

I am not only concerned about Nigeria, but about the entire black race. When someone works for you, pay him before he finishes or after. Let us stop exploiting people for extra work. I know it will be difficult because we pretend to love one another, which is unrealistic. I'm wondering if donkeys, who do the majority of people's hard work, are mistreated because we consider them to be animals. How much more is a fellow human being?
