…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. BREAKING: 15 Osun Lawmakers Listed in Controversial U.S. Trip: Oluwole Oke’s Sponsorship Under Scrutiny

The Osun State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) continues to face political turmoil following the recent defection of two senators and three House of Representatives members to the All Progressives Congress (APC). In the midst of this internal crisis, new reports suggest that a federal lawmaker is sponsoring a group of state legislators for an overseas training.

Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, who represents Ijesa North Federal Constituency and currently serves as Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, is reportedly sponsoring 15 members of the Osun State House of Assembly for a legislative training program in the United States of America.

Sources close to the Assembly revealed that some of the lawmakers selected for the program have already begun receiving approval notifications via email, confirming their invitation to the U.S. training. Others, however, are said to still be awaiting official confirmation in their inboxes.

The training initiative, reportedly backed by Hon. Oluwole Oke, has raised eyebrows across political circles, particularly as it coincides with a period of growing uncertainty within the PDP in Osun State. The lawmaker has yet to publicly confirm or deny his involvement in the sponsorship.

As of the time of filing this report, the identities of the 15 lawmakers selected for the program remain undisclosed. This has sparked public curiosity, especially regarding whether the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly and his Deputy are among the chosen delegates or approved the trip behind the scenes.

While the training is believed to focus on legislative development and governance, the timing of the initiative has generated political debate. Many observers are questioning whether the move is purely developmental or a strategic effort to consolidate influence amid the PDP’s dwindling presence in the state.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
