Osogbo APC Leaders Demand Probe Into Alleged Assassination Attempt on Ataoja

…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. Gov Adeleke Honors Osogbo Pact: All Promises Fulfilled, Says Political Adviser

Honourable Muniru Adebayo Raji, Special Adviser to Osun State Governor on Political Affairs, has affirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke has fulfilled every aspect of the political agreement reached with the people of Osogbo before his election.

Speaking on a popular current affairs dialogue podcast 'Lero Temi' hosted by Mukhtar Ajelogbon of OsunReporters online TV, Muniru confirmed that an agreement was made at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo in the lead-up to the 2022 election.

“Truly, there was an agreement,” he said. “If His Excellency Ademola Adeleke became governor, Osogbo would produce the Secretary to the State Government (SSG). It was also agreed that Osogbo would be prioritized in developmental projects and would not be sidelined during appointments just because an indigene had been given the SSG position.”

According to him, the Adeleke administration has honored that pact in full.

“Everything the governor promised, he has fulfilled. And let me add, the overhead bridge at Oke-Fia was not even part of the agreement, it’s an extra initiative borne out of the governor’s vision to modernize Osogbo.”

He also addressed the rumor trailing the designation of the state's administrative seat.

“People talk about the state secretariat address. But from the onset of this administration, the government’s official letterheads have carried ‘Osun State Secretariat, Gbongan Road, Osogbo.’ At the entrance to the Secretariat, it is boldly written: ‘Osun State Secretariat’ There’s no ambiguity,” he clarified.

Muniru reaffirmed Osogbo’s loyalty to Governor Adeleke and dismissed any speculation about weakened ties between the state capital and the governor’s political base.

“We made the agreement openly, and the governor kept his word. Osogbo people recognize that, and they will vote massively for Governor Adeleke again in 2026,” he said confidently.

With political trust at stake, the message from Lero Temi was clear: in Osun State, a promise made by Governor Adeleke is a promise kept, and Osogbo stands as proof.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
