BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

NYCN President, Comrade Solomon Adodo Tasks Nigerian Youth: “Tinubu Is Ready to Back Your Productivity”

Osogbo, Osun State

In a bold charge to young Nigerians, Comrade Solomon Adodo, P

resident of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), has urged youth across the country to rise beyond mere potential and become active drivers of national development. Speaking at a high-level summit organized by the Coalition of Nigerian Youth on Security and Safety Affairs (CONYSSA), Adodo declared that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to backing youth who are ready to become productive forces for positive change.

The summit, held at the Adolak Event Centre in Osogbo, Osun State, brought together more than 40 youth organizations under the theme: “Uniting South West Youth Against Cultism, Internet Fraud, Money Laundering, Drug Abuse, Child Trafficking and Economic Sabotage.”

“If you look around this room today, over 40 organizations are represented. That shows readiness. That shows vision. Peace is a prerequisite for development, and youth must be the vanguard,” Adodo stated.

He emphasized that the time has come for Nigerian youth to move from complaints to contribution, from potential to productivity.

“The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has made it clear, through repeated statements and actions, that his administration is ready to partner with youth. But the era of waiting is over. We must rise and deliver,” he charged.

Adodo affirmed that the governors of the South West have also demonstrated willingness to engage with forward-thinking youth leaders.

“I’ve interfaced with governors across this region. They are open to supporting youth who are ready to work. The Governor of Osun State, ably represented at this summit, affirmed that support without hesitation.”

When Oriontimes posed a question on whether youth outside the power circles have a chance to benefit, Adodo was emphatic:

“This is not about who you know. If you stand with purpose, if you come forward with readiness, the system is ready to support you. Government support is no longer about connections, it’s about contribution.”

He also announced that the National Youth Council of Nigeria has been reorganized, reconstituted, and re-energized to reflect the new spirit of youth leadership and accountability.

“A new order has begun. But the first reform starts with us. We’ve started that reform, and we will carry it across the nation.”

He concluded with a powerful call:

“To every youth in the South West and across Nigeria: shun crime, shun shortcuts, shun destruction. Rise with your gifts, talents, and vision. Let’s build the Nigeria we deserve.”

The summit ended with a unified sense of purpose, young Nigerians are not waiting to be included; they are stepping forward as leaders, reformers,

and partners in the nation’s transformation.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
