BREAKING: From Campaign Donor to ‘Kill Me or Pay Me’: Man Reviews APC Investment Balance Sheet

In what appears to be Nigeria’s most dramatic “return on investment” complaint yet, a man on Thursday stormed the All Progressives Congress (APC) national secretariat in Abuja with a message as blunt as it was unsettling: reward me or kill me. The protest, captured in a now-viral video, shows the visibly distressed man holding a placard and demanding recognition for what he described as his personal sacrifices during the party’s 2023 campaign. According to him, loyalty was not just emotional, it was financial, physical, and, ultimately, total. In a country where political support often comes with expectations, some spoken, many implied the man’s outcry reads like a tragic audit of misplaced trust. His claim that he sold his house to fund campaign efforts has not been independently verified, but the symbolism is hard to ignore: a citizen liquidating stability in exchange for promised political dividends. Observers at the scene watched as the protester oscillated between anger and ...

Political Tension Rises in Osun as Leaked Audio Features Speaker Threatening Monarch with Jail, Death

A leaked audio recording making the rounds on social media has ignited political tensions in Osun State, allegedly capturing the Speaker of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon. Adewale Egbedun, threatening a traditional ruler with imprisonment and death.

The recording, which surfaced on Wednesday evening, reportedly features the Speaker addressing Oba Oyewale Olasunkanmi Isaac (Akorede I), the Alasi of Asi in Odo-Otin Local Government Area, in a heated exchange over political disagreements.

In the clip, the speaker speaking in Yoruba is allegedly heard saying:

“I will jail you, I swear. I’ll ensure you rot there. You think being a king gives you power over me? I’ll deal with you, and if you’re not careful, you won’t leave that place alive.”

This medium consulted a voice recognition expert, who compared the leaked audio with archived interviews and public speeches of Hon. Egbedun. The expert concluded there is a 95% likelihood that the voice in the recording belongs to the Speaker.

Hon. Egbedun and Oba Isaac both hail from Asi, intensifying concerns about power dynamics and local rivalries. Palace sources allege the Speaker has attempted to assert control over community affairs, bypassing the monarch in key decisions. The crisis has been ongoing for some months now, with tensions reportedly escalating in recent weeks.

In a related development, information reaching this medium indicates that in February 2025, Hon. Egbedun allegedly disrespected the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, a highly revered monarch in Boripe Local Government Area. The incident, which reportedly took place during a public event, drew criticism from traditional institutions and further strained the Speaker’s relationship with royal authorities across the state.

“The Speaker wants to dominate everything in the town,” a palace insider claimed. “He insists on decisions being made without involving the king.”

The leaked audio has sparked outrage across Osun State. Civil rights organizations and political observers are calling for a thorough investigation into the matter. As of press time, attempts to obtain a response from Hon. Egbedun have been unsuccessful, and state government officials have remained silent.

However, a senior aide to Governor Ademola Adeleke confirmed that the governor is aware of the situation and monitoring developments closely.

A public affairs analyst speaking with this medium warned that, if verified, the audio could have serious implications for the Speaker, including potential charges of abuse of power and political intimidation.

Meanwhile, sources close to the royal family revealed that Oba Isaac has temporarily relocated to Lagos, citing security concerns and threats to his life.

This developing story continues to raise questions about the balance of power between political leaders and traditional institutions in Osun State.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
