…Say Monarch's Claim Exposes Adeleke's Gross Incompetence, Loss Of Security Control Of Osun The leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osogbo, Osun State capital, on Sunday demanded probe into the alleged assassination attempt on the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji. The party leaders noted that the Ataoja's assassination claim has further exposed Governor Ademola Adeleke's gross incompetence, ineptitude and total loss of the control of the state security. They called on security agencies to beam their searchlight and investigate the alleged assassination attempt on the monarch as part of efforts to unraveling the circumstances surrounding the monarch’s claim. The party specifically urged the National Security Adviser (NSA), the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), the Department of State Services (DSS), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other relevant security agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter. Trump Blasts Elon Musk Over Political Party Plans: “Off the Rails” and a “Train Wreck”

Washington, D.C. — July 8, 2025

US. President Donald Trump has lashed out at tech billionaire Elon Musk, calling him “off the rails” and a “train wreck,” following Musk’s declaration that he is forming a new political party ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.

Trump, who remains a central figure in the Republican Party and is widely speculated to be eyeing another presidential run, made the comments during an impromptu press session at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend.

“Elon is a brilliant guy when he sticks to rockets and cars,” Trump said. “But politics? He’s completely off the rails. This whole party idea, it's a train wreck waiting to happen.”

Musk, who has increasingly waded into political discourse over the past few years, announced his intention to launch a centrist political party he described as “pragmatic, pro-innovation, and anti-establishment.” The move has sparked intense debate, with some political analysts viewing it as a challenge to the entrenched two-party system, while others see it as a potential spoiler that could fracture conservative voters.

Trump’s remarks reflect growing tensions between the two powerful figures, once known for publicly cordial exchanges. In recent months, Musk has criticized both Democratic and Republican leadership, calling for a new wave of “rational governance driven by facts and technology.”

Despite Musk’s immense following and influence through platforms like X (formerly Twitter), Trump dismissed the political threat. “He doesn’t understand the game. Politics is not a lab experiment,” Trump said. “People want strength, clarity, tradition, not tech-world chaos.”

In response, Musk posted a cryptic meme on X, hinting at “the old guard fearing the new wave.”

As speculation mounts over the future impact of Musk’s political ambitions, one thing is clear: the brewing battle between the billionaire innovator and the president could reshape the American political landscape, if not its headlines.

BREAKING: Esa-Oke Youths Reunite as Survivors, Caution Pelumi against revisionism

....we’re not your campaign slogan Once upon a glorious, chaotic 2017, practically every able-bodied youth in Esa-Oke held honorary title in the land: Personal Assistant to Barrister Pelumi Olajengbesi. No interviews. No pay. Just passion, blind loyalty, and the stamina to chase him from one campaign ground to the next like a political body double. From Comrade Mainframe to Comrade Swiss, from Yinka Oba to the humble football boys who carried cones like national flags, we were there. We were the movement. Until, of course. Now in 2025, Barrister Pelumi, clearly inspired by a Netflix political drama is on a media tour telling anyone who’ll listen that he "settled everyone who worked for him." Settled who, please? Maybe in his dreams or in the metaverse. In the real world, the story’s a bit different. Those of us from Obokun, who hustled day and night, got exactly zero: no thank you, no handshake. Take Sami, now a former Ward 7 councillor, no thanks from Pelumi. Folusho? Aregbe...

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

The Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps , High Chief Dr Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele , who is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital following an attempted assassination on his life on Monday, has strongly refuted the claims made by the Osun State Police Spokeperson regarding the incident. Reacting to the statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who claimed that investigations had not commenced because the Commander had not provided evidence of the attack, the Amotekun boss expressed deep disappointment, labeling the police response as insensitive and misleading. "It is shocking that a police spokesperson would say there is no evidence of an attack when the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ota-Efun Division — the nearest jurisdiction to the incident — was immediately informed," the Commander said. "Officers from that division visited the scene the same night, assessed the damage, evacuated the vehicle, and advised me to seek ...
