OOPA Seeks Stronger Collaboration With INEC Ahead Of Osun 2026 Guber Election

  As the August 15 Osun governorship election draws near the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Resident Electoral Commissioner for Osun State, Mrs Oluwatoyin Babalola has assured that Commission would offer full cooperation to media practitioners. Mrs Babalola also assured that the August 15 governorship election in the state will be credible, free, inclusive and transparent. Kidnappers Involved in Accident After Collecting Ransom in Nasarawa




 

Kokona, Nasarawa State — Suspected kidnappers who had just collected ransom were on Monday morning involved in a motor accident at Angwan Mayo, Kokona Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.


According to reports, the criminals were attempting to flee the area after securing the ransom when their vehicle crashed. Security operatives, including Nigerian soldiers and police officers, swiftly moved to the scene and took control of the situation.


Residents of Kokona praised the prompt response of the security agencies, noting that it prevented the suspects from escaping further.


Authorities are yet to disclose details regarding arrests or the condition of the victims.

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
