JUST IN: Adebayo Adelabu Resigns as Minister of Power to Pursue Oyo Governorship

 


In a major political development, Adebayo Adelabu has officially resigned from his position as Minister of Power to focus on his ambition to become the next Governor of Oyo State.

The former minister submitted his resignation letter to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu via the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to serve in the federal cabinet. “I write with profound gratitude to Your Excellency to formally tender my resignation from my position as the Honourable Minister of Power,” the letter stated.



As Adelabu steps down from his ministerial role, the focus now shifts to the federal government’s appointment of a new Minister of Power and the unfolding political contest in Oyo State.
