Power Crisis: Adelabu Apologises to Nigerians Over Persistent Outages

ABUJA — Nigeria’s Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, has issued a public apology to Nigerians over the persistent poor electricity supply and frequent outages recorded across the country in recent months.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Tuesday, the minister acknowledged the hardship being faced by citizens and businesses due to the unstable power situation.



“I want to apologise, coming from me as a minister of power, for this temporary issue that is leading to hardship being experienced,” Adelabu stated.

The apology comes amid growing concerns from households and industries grappling with erratic electricity, which has continued to impact economic activities and daily living.

Adelabu, however, described the current challenges as temporary, assuring Nigerians that efforts are ongoing to stabilise the power sector and improve supply nationwide.

The minister’s remarks signal a recognition of the urgency of the crisis, as many Nigerians continue to call for lasting solutions to the country’s longstanding electricity challenges.
