Effurun Shooting: IGP Orders Dismissal, Prosecution of Officer

Press Statement: The Fourth Republic Youth of Nigeria – A Nation Rewarding the Wrong People


 


Unless you’re a victim, the system doesn’t reward you.


In this blessed land of endless potential, the fastest way to become a national priority is not to build, create, or serve,  it is to collapse in public, scream the loudest, or break something big enough to trend.


We live in a country where an unruly passenger on a flight gets more attention than a young innovator who creates something world-class. Where the “breaking news” is about a fight at a party, not a breakthrough in technology. Where the youth who quietly feed 50 children every week is invisible, but the youth who throws a chair on Instagram gets sponsorship.


We, the Fourth Republic Youth of Nigeria have known nothing but democracy on paper, yet we have seen the same old script play out:

Reward chaos. Ignore discipline. Celebrate the wreckage. Forget the builders.


Our politicians say “youths are the leaders of tomorrow”  ,but apparently, tomorrow is still stuck in traffic.”

They wave to us during campaigns, then lock the gates when it’s time to lead.

Meanwhile, we the young are either told to “wait our turn” or to “misbehave” so the cameras can notice us.


This is our satire, but it is also our pain:

We are a generation that must nearly drown before someone offers a life jacket.


We refuse to keep playing this game.

We will reward each other, celebrate the silent warriors, and make integrity more fashionable than scandal.

We are not waiting for the system to wake up, we are the alarm clock.


And to the leaders: remember, sleeping giants don’t stay asleep forever. When the Fourth Republic Youth rise, we will not be knocking on your doors, we will be building our own.

Assassination Attempt: Police can’t deny what’s on their desk, says Amotekun boss

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
