The All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths in Osun State have called on senators and political leaders in the state to align themselves with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT).
In a statement issued in Osogbo, the youths described recent defections to the APC as “bold moves rooted in courage, patriotism, and a genuine desire to align with the developmental vision currently driving Nigeria forward.”
The group stated that political allegiance should no longer be tied to sentiment or stale loyalties, especially when the nation is witnessing “transformative reforms and renewed commitment to infrastructure, economy, and security under PBAT.”
“We salute those who have shown true leadership by crossing over to the side of progress. Such decisions are a call to conscience for other leaders in Osun, particularly our senators, who claim to support PBAT but remain tethered to parties that are clearly out of sync with the national direction,” the statement read.
They further called on Governor Ademola Adeleke to rise above party rigidity and adopt President Tinubu’s leadership model, which they described as “decisive, people-centered, and future-driven.”
“The time has come for Osun’s political leadership to look beyond party lines. We are calling on Governor Adeleke to take a cue from PBAT’s governance style and prioritize policy over populism, progress over propaganda.”
The youths warned that Osun State cannot afford to be left behind while other states take full advantage of federal support and policy alignment.
Concluding their statement, the APC Youths emphasized that recent defections are not just political but symbolic, representing a shift toward purposeful politics that values performance and integrity over convenience.
