Atiku Demands Release of Nasir El-Rufai Before Eid Kabir

 

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has called on federal authorities and the Kaduna State Government to immediately release former Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai, ahead of the Eid Kabir celebrations.



According to reports, Atiku described the continued detention of El-Rufai as disturbing, especially at a period when Muslims across Nigeria and beyond are preparing for one of the most sacred celebrations in Islam.

The former Vice-President reportedly urged authorities to uphold democratic principles, respect the rule of law and avoid actions capable of heightening political tension in the country.

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
