The Accord Party in Osun State has formally petitioned the police over what it described as threatening and inflammatory statements allegedly made by Wole Oke, the lawmaker representing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency, in a viral video circulating online. In a petition addressed to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone XI Headquarters in Osogbo, and copied to the Nigeria Police Force leadership in Abuja, the party called for an immediate investigation and possible prosecution over the statements credited to the federal lawmaker.
