Critics have raised concerns ahead of a scheduled meeting between Governor Ademola Adeleke and selected political leaders from Obokun and Oriade local governments. They have cautioned the governor not to be deceived by those he has invited to the Government House, alleging that many among them are only seeking personal gain under the guise of party loyalty.
The critics issued a stern warning: “Mr. Governor, we warned you. Do not be deceived. Those coming from Obokun and Oriade are not coming in good faith, they are here to scam you and take what rightly belongs to others.”
This strong message comes as the Osun State Governor, Senator (Dr.) Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke popularly known as “Imole” is set to meet with several PDP leaders from Obokun on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Oke-Fia, Osogbo.
The list of invitees includes notable figures such as:
Hon. Mayowa Adejoorin
Hon. Adewumi Adeyemi
Prince Diran Odeyemi
Mrs. Eniola Omotoso
Bishop Mike Adewale
Hon. Jire Agboola
Hon. Rotimi Odugbemi
Hon. Kunle Adeoti
All elected Councillors from Obokun and Oriade
Party State Officers including Yemisi Itiola and Mrs. Idowu Adeyemi
LG Chairmen, Excos, and Ward Chairmen
Dr. David Ogunsade
Hon. Adenle Adejumo
Alhaja Tunrayo Akuruyejo
Chief Sesan Orija, among many others.
In total, over 60 names are listed as participants in the high-profile meeting.
The warning from critics suggests a growing internal rift within the Osun PDP, and how Governor Adeleke responds to these concerns may influence future political dynamics in the state, especially as 2026 elections draw closer.
Efforts to reach party officials for comments on the allegations were unsuccessful at the time of filing this report.
