APC Inaugurates 11,000 Canvassers Across Three Osun LGAs as AMBO, Wole Oke Intensify Grassroots Mobilisation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial campaign in Osun State recorded a major mobilisation milestone on Thursday as over 11,000 election canvassers were inaugurated across Irewole, Isokan and Aiyedaade Local Government Areas ahead of the August 15 governorship election.

The exercise was led by the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), his running mate, Prince Benjamin Adereti Kayode, and the Director-General of the APC Campaign Council, Hon. Oluwole Oke.

Other prominent party leaders present included Hon. Bayo Adeleke (Banik), Director-General of Osun Central Campaign; Ambassador Issah Niniola; Comrade Festus Oyebade Olowogboyega; Hon. Taiwo Oluga; and several party stakeholders.

According to figures released by the campaign council, a total of 11,490 canvassers were inaugurated across the three local government areas, comprising 4,140 in Irewole, 2,850 in Isokan, and 4,500 in Aiyedaade.

The campaign described the turnout in Gbongan, Apomu and Ikire as evidence of the APC's grassroots strength and organisational capacity across the state.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremonies, Hon. Oluwole Oke said the large attendance reflected the loyalty of party members and supporters at the ward and polling-unit levels.

«"These are our people, party faithful, committed followers and dedicated canvassers from their respective wards and polling units. This is not a rented crowd; this is genuine loyalty and tested structure," Oke stated.»

He urged the newly inaugurated canvassers to regard their assignment as a critical responsibility toward securing victory for the APC, assuring them of continuous support, training and empowerment ahead of the election.

Addressing supporters, Asiwaju Oyebamiji reaffirmed his commitment to providing inclusive governance, infrastructure development, quality healthcare, improved education and agricultural revitalisation if elected governor.

«"This is your son. This is your moment. Let us work together to reclaim Osun and build a future we can all be proud of," the APC candidate said.»

At Apomu, campaign leaders engaged residents on issues affecting their communities, including road infrastructure, education, healthcare delivery and economic development.

The campaign train later moved to Ikire, where supporters welcomed the APC candidate and his entourage in what party leaders described as a demonstration of local acceptance and enthusiasm for the party's governorship bid.

During his address in Ikire, Hon. Wole Oke called on party stakeholders to intensify mobilisation efforts across all polling units, expressing confidence in the APC's chances at the forthcoming election.

He also urged residents of the area to support Oyebamiji's candidacy, noting that the community had historically supported leaders from other parts of the state and now had an opportunity to rally behind one of its own.

The APC campaign further highlighted ongoing efforts to identify and document qualified young graduates for federal employment opportunities through its Employment Committee initiative.

As preparations for the August 15 governorship election continue, the APC maintains that its campaign strategy is anchored on grassroots mobilisation, community engagement and structured political organisation.

Party leaders expressed optimism that the growing participation of supporters across the state would strengthen the party's electoral prospects and contribute to its quest to return to power in Osun State.
