Adeleke Hails Oyinlola as “Patriotic Democrat,” Celebrates Legacy of Service to Osun and Nigeria

 Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has described former Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola,


as a patriotic democrat whose contributions to the growth and development of Osun State remain indelible and cannot be underestimated.

Represented at the birthday celebration of the former governor by his Special Adviser, Hon. Kamarudeen Ajisafe, Governor Adeleke praised the Okuku-born prince as a symbol of democracy and good governance. He highlighted several landmark achievements recorded during Oyinlola’s tenure, noting that his leadership left a lasting imprint on the state’s political and developmental landscape.

Governor Adeleke, who was out of the state on a critical economic engagement, conveyed his administration’s appreciation for Prince Oyinlola’s local, national, and international contributions to public service and nation-building. He emphasized that the former governor remains a respected figure whose influence continues to promote stability and peaceful coexistence.

“Locally and nationally, you remain a respected voice who continues to serve as a pillar of stability and peaceful coexistence. In difficult times, you stand out as a voice of reason and reconciliation,” the governor stated.

He further noted that Prince Oyinlola’s approach to conflict resolution and consensus building has significantly supported ongoing efforts to move Osun State to greater heights, describing him as an honest peacemaker and dependable elder statesman.

Reflecting on their long-standing relationship, Governor Adeleke expressed deep personal regard for the former governor, portraying him as a genuine counsellor and ardent supporter of good governance. He added that Oyinlola represents a rare breed of politician whose service has been invaluable to both Osun State and Nigeria at large.

The governor concluded with prayers for continued strength, long life, and greater years of impactful service to the nation, wishing the celebrant sustained success and fulfillment in the years ahead.
