As Nigeria’s Super Eagles prepare for their opening match at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), the Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a prophetic warning concerning key player decisions.
The cleric cautioned the team’s handlers against starting Ademola Lookman in the opener and advised that star striker Victor Osimhen should not be allowed to play the full 90 minutes.
According to Primate Ayodele, Lookman’s inclusion in the match may not positively impact the team, while extending Osimhen’s playing time throughout the game could affect the Super Eagles’ overall performance.
“Osimhen should not play 90 minutes. Lookman is not meant to play in this game because he will not help the team. If these instructions are ignored, it could affect the Super Eagles’ progress,” he warned.
The prophecy has since generated mixed reactions among football fans and analysts, as anticipation continues to build ahead of Nigeria’s AFCON campaign.
