In a renewed call for community-driven security, the Corps Commander of the Osun Amotekun Corps, High Chief Dr. Hon. Adekunle Isaac Omoyele, has assured residents that his office remains open to receive complaints, reports, and intelligence on criminal activities across the state. Speaking during an appearance on an online TV current affairs programme in Osogbo on Monday, Omoyele emphasized the critical role of public cooperation in tackling insecurity.  He encouraged citizens to come forward with useful information about criminal elements operating within their communities, assuring that all identities would be treated with strict confidentiality. Osun Chief Judge Suspended

 Ademola Adeleke, governor of Osun, has suspended Adepele Ojo from office as chief judge of the state. In a statement on Thursday, Olawale Rasheed, spokesperson to the governor, read, "T he Executive Governor of Osun State, Governor Ademola Adeleke has approved the resolution of the Osun State House of Assembly asking the Osun State Chief Judge, Adepele Ojo to step aside pending investigation of allegations of misconduct, abuse of power, corruption and disregard for rule of law against her by the House of Assembly. In the resolution of the Osun Assembly sitting today 16th November, 2023, the House resolved that the Executive should be informed of the House resolution and that the next in order of seniority to Justice Adepele Ojo be sworn-in immediately to avoid any vacuum in the third arm of government in Osun State.
