Oluwole Oke Mourns 'Orisa of Ipetu Ijesa', Hails Political Titan and Mentor

 


The lawmaker representing Ijesa North Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives and a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, has expressed profound sorrow over the passing of Pa Ayo Olayinka, fondly known as “The Orisa of Ipetu Ijesa.”


Pa Olayinka, a towering figure in Ijesaland politics and community leadership for over four decades, died earlier this week, leaving behind a rich legacy of service and sacrifice.


In a heartfelt condolence message, Hon. Oke described the late Pa Olayinka as a cornerstone of political mentorship and grassroots mobilization in the region. He lauded Olayinka’s unwavering commitment to the development of Ipetu Ijesa and his status as a political trailblazer.


As Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, Hon. Oke credited the late elder statesman for playing a pivotal role in shaping his political journey. “Pa Olayinka was a guiding light,” he said, “whose strategic insight and steadfast loyalty were instrumental in my electoral successes.”


While consoling the bereaved family and the entire Ipetu Ijesa community, Hon. Oke urged them to find solace in the impactful life Pa Olayinka lived, a life marked by wisdom, humility, and selfless devotion to communal advancement.


He concluded with prayers for the peaceful repose of the departed, expressing firm belief that his soul rests eternally in the bosom of the Lord Jesus Christ.
