Wole Oke, during a condolence visit to the community. Chief Owoeye described the governor's comments as disrespectful to the people of Esa-Oke, arguing that referring to one of the town's prominent sons as a "bastard" on his ancestral soil violated the community's cultural values and traditions. "It is sacrilege to call our son a 'bastard' on our soil," the traditional chief said, stressing that political disagreements should not override respect for cultural norms and communal values. According to him, traditional etiquette demands restraint from public office holders, particularly when addressing grieving communities already grappling with heightened political tension. If You're In A Wrong Place, It's Impossible To Fulfil Destiny - Lawrence BornRoyal

BETHSIADA happened to be a place where people's miracles were swallowed up. Your own bethsaida is a place where God saves you from many dangers but you did not yield yourself to him. Where God healed you but you did not draw back to him. "Today, get out of that town where people sees you as a tree but not as a human being. You have spent many decades in a particular place and nothing changes about your life, for that reason you gave up on your dreams and living your life like mannequin. Get up and leave now. Progress they say, is impossible without change, that your comfort zone can ruin destiny. It had ruined many destinies, it was the same place where those who fought before you fell and never stood up. walk out where you're being tied down like goat and convey your cross of emancipation today. Never underestimate what the Lord can perform through your life. Be a kind of person that leaves people in shock about your progress. You have to keep running until you get to tha...

U.S., Britain Shot Down Houthi Attack In Red Sea

U.S. and British warships intercepted 21 drones and missiles fired on Tuesday from areas of Yemen controlled by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, officials said.  The U.S. and its allies are now weighing how to shut down other attacks against commercial ships in the Red Sea. The Houthi attacks, in solidarity with Hamas in its war against Israel, have forced the world’s largest shipping companies to reroute vessels away from the Red Sea, creating delays and extra costs felt worldwide through higher prices for oil and other imported goods. The Biden administration and a number of allies said last week that they would hold the Houthis responsible for the attacks, a warning that suggested the government may be considering retaliatory strikes on Houthi territory in Yemen, military officials said.  Rather than back off, the Houthis appear to have stepped up their attacks. So far, the U.S. has held back from hitting Houthi bases in Yemen, in large part to avoid undermining a fragile...

Federal judges cast doubt on Trump’s claim of immunity

Former President Of the United States of America, Donald Trump appeared At a hearing in Washington yesterday in front of an appeals court panel to argue that he is immune from prosecution on charges of plotting to overturn the 2020 election because they arose from actions he took as president.  The three judges on the panel seemed unconvinced, suggesting that they are unlikely to rule in the former president’s favor. “I think it’s paradoxical to say that his constitutional duty to take care that the laws be faithfully executed allows him to violate the criminal law,” said Judge Karen Henderson, the sole Republican appointee. The panel appeared particularly wary when Trump’s lawyer said during the hearing that a president could assassinate a political rival and still be shielded from prosecution unless the Senate first convicted him at an impeachment proceeding. However, the judges looked torn at times about how broadly they might rule; one suggested that a decision to deny im...

Where Is Common Sense? Bobi Wine Blast Museveni For Buying Expensive Cars For Ex-Speakers

Bobi wine has blasted Yoweri Museveni, the president of Uganda, What sense does it makes to have purchased luxury cars for ex-speakers of the parliament after the president himself had recently bewailed that his regime is cash-strapped. Bobi wine, wrote on his social media handle, "Where is the common sense Museveni was talking about recently? The regime claims to be cash-strapped. Citizens are dying of hunger in different parts of the country.  The regime can barely offer any meaningful services to the people.  And what do they do? Spend billions to purchase luxury cars for former Speakers of Parliament, some of whom still hold well-paying government jobs where they already have vehicles and convoys following them around!  Each week, we wake up to a new scandal, new heist. The criminals in power continue to ask the citizens: "What can you do?" And yes, the citizens of this country must rise up at the earliest opportunity and put an end to this madness.

Governor Ademola Adeleke: Celebrating One Year In Office Of Mr. Performer - By James Azuka Uzoma

Call him the performer you won’t be wrong, this is because Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke has taken his achievements in one year in office since becoming Osun State Governor to an enviable height.  Much to the chagrin of his detractors, Adeleke’s good governance in just one year in office has been amazing as developments under his government are littered within the State since he assumed office one year ago. For Governor Adeleke, accountability and transparency remain at the heart of his good governance as his government is about the people of the state. As he has always said that he will be different from his predecessor, Governor Adeleke has always given vivid accounts of his stewardship to the people of the State. Upon assumption in office, firstly Governor Adeleke made open the financial books of the State to the people through the Royal fathers in the state, this indeed showed a clear departure from the impenetrability and clandestineness that characterized t...
