The Nigerian Army says it has killed over 50 Boko Haram insurgents during a fierce battle in the northeast following attempted drone attacks on its bases.
The military described the operation as a major success in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts across Borno and Yobe States.
Security experts, however, caution that the victory must be sustained through community cooperation, rehabilitation, and continuous intelligence gathering.
