A victim has accused one Samuel Eriayo Adeniran of allegedly defrauding him of ₦50,000 after manipulating the outcome of a betting game and falsely declaring it a winning ticket. According to the victim, the suspect collected the sum under the guise of participating in a game but later edited the result to appear as though the ticket had won. He then allegedly withheld the funds and cut off communication. Narrating his experience, the victim said: “He collected ₦50,000 from me, edited the lost game, and declared it a winning ticket. When I questioned him, he withheld my money and removed me from the group chat.” The victim further revealed that despite being removed from the platform, he was still able to monitor activities through a trusted contact who remained in the WhatsApp group. “Unfortunately for him, after removing me, he didn’t know I still had someone close to me in the group who kept me informed,” he added.
