In a significant political shift within the Oriade Local Government Area, Mrs. Deborah Oladimeji, a respected PDP delegate, grassroots mobiliser, and financier, has formally announced her resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a letter dated May 1st, 2025, addressed to PDP leadership in Ward 12, Erinmo, Mrs. Oladimeji expressed her gratitude for the opportunities and trust she received during her time with the party. Her departure, she noted, was made “after careful consideration” and in direct alignment with the recent exit of her political mentor, Honourable Oluwole Oke.

“Serving as a leader in Ward 12 and as a delegate of the PDP has been a significant part of my political journey,” she wrote. “It is with a sense of responsibility and reflection that I step aside, recognizing the impact my departure may have.”

Known for her pivotal role in grassroots mobilisation and consistent financial backing of party initiatives in Oriade, Oladimeji’s exit is seen as a major blow to the PDP’s local structure. Her move signals growing momentum around Wole Oke’s political realignment efforts, which have continued to reshape Osun’s political landscape in recent weeks.

Driver Chop Off Vehicle Inspection Officer’s Ear Over Car Particular

  A yet-to-identified Sienna car driver has reportedly bitten the ear of a Vehicle Inspection Officer (VIO) identified as Papu Prosper. The incident occurred during a heated argument between the officer and the driver along Eagle Roundabout by Federal Government College, Warri, Delta State.
