In a bold show of party solidarity and strategic foresight, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, Member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency and Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, paid a high-level courtesy visit to All Progressives Congress (APC) stalwart, Ambassador Otunba Jumoke Ogunkeyede (JMK), in New York.
The pivotal meeting, held at Ambassador JMK’s residence, focused on unifying efforts and laying strong groundwork ahead of the 2026 Osun State governorship election.
Discussions centered on strengthening the APC’s base in Ijesa North Federal Constituency and ensuring its dominance across Osun State.
Hon. Oke underscored the urgent need for early mobilization, grassroots engagement, and internal harmony as keys to securing a decisive APC victory. “Now is the time to lead with love and unity,” Oke said. “We must rise above divisions and rally as one formidable force to retain power and advance good governance.”
Reaffirming Ijesa North’s loyalty to the APC, Hon. Oke assured Ambassador Ogunkeyede of massive mobilization efforts that will deliver resounding success for the party’s gubernatorial candidate in 2026. “Whoever flies our flag will have the full backing of Ijesa North—we are fully in,” he declared.
He also threw his weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, hailing him as a visionary leader guiding Nigeria back to stability. “The one million vote mandate for President Tinubu in Osun still stands,” Oke affirmed. “We in Ijesa North are committed to delivering our share. This is our turf—this is APC land.”
The meeting marks a significant step in rallying influential party voices and energizing grassroots support as the countdown to Osun 2026 begins.
