Political Winds Shift in Oriade: Wole Oke Welcomes Defecting PDP Leader Akinmoladun Adesoji, Ipetu Ijesa





In a bold political move, Akinmoladun Adesoji, the Unit Chairman of Ward 9, Unit 5 in Ipetu Ijesa, has officially dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and pledged allegiance to Hon. Wole Oke, a leading figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC).


Speaking in a short video that has since made rounds on local platforms, Adesoji likened himself to the late Lamidi Adedibu, the famed political godfather of Ibadan politics, vowing to mobilize support and deliver electoral victories for the APC in upcoming elections.

“I am like Adedibu of our time,” Adesoji declared. “We are going to deliver our unit, our ward, and beyond for Hon. Wole Oke and for the APC. The time of empty promises is over, this is the season of action.”

His defection is being hailed by supporters as a major grassroots boost for Hon. Oke’s political base in Oriade Local Government Area. Many see it as an early sign of shifting loyalties within the PDP ranks and a testament to Hon. Oke’s influence among community stakeholders.
