A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State and the member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, has congratulated Mr. Diji Charles Akinola on his appointment as the pioneer Managing Director of the Southwest Development Commission (SWDC).
The appointment, announced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, was described by Hon. Oke as a strategic and commendable decision aimed at accelerating development across the Southwest region.
In a statement made available to the press, Hon. Oke lauded President Tinubu for identifying a competent and visionary technocrat in Mr. Akinola, whose track record in public policy and development administration stands as a testament to his readiness for the role.
“This is a welcome development and a major step toward sustainable regional growth,” Oke stated. “Mr. Akinola’s vast experience and deep understanding of development dynamics make him the right choice to lead the Commission into a new era of impact and transformation.”
Hon. Oke, who also chairs the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, expressed confidence in Akinola’s capacity to deliver on the Commission’s mandate. He described the appointment as well-deserved, highlighting Akinola's dedication, competence, and commitment to public service.
