The Chairman of the House Committee on Foreign Affairs and Member representing Oriade/Obokun Federal Constituency, Hon. Busayo Oluwole Oke, was among the distinguished attendees at the 16th Annual Mechanical Engineers Distinguished Lecture (MEDL), a flagship event spotlighting engineering excellence and its critical role in national progress.
This year’s lecture featured a keynote address by Engr. Senator Iyiola Omisore, PhD, FIMechE, FAEng, CON—former National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a renowned figure in Nigeria’s engineering and political landscape. Senator Omisore delivered an insightful discourse on the intersection of infrastructure development, economic transformation, and the indispensable role of engineering expertise in shaping national outcomes.
Hon. Wole Oke, who has consistently demonstrated legislative dynamism and a strong grassroots presence, commended the Nigerian Institution of Mechanical Engineers (NIMechE) for institutionalizing the MEDL series.
